I'm not. When using power tools, always follow the safety instructions. - When drilling, always clamp the work down. (I've got the scars!) - Wear safety glasses. (You only get one set of eyes.) - When using table saws, always have the push block handy. - When using chop saws, keep a "holding stick" close by. - Watch out for the kick-back. (I've got the bruises on the stomach!) - Keep your fingers away from the blade! (Did you ever see Michael Moore's film "Sicko"!?) -There's a reason the insert on the table saw is painted "red". Keep your fingers away from that area! - Unplug the router/ saw before changing bits/ blades! - Keep your fingers/ hands behind the chisel - not in front.
Both a table saw and a chop saw have kick-back. The chop saw's is worse than the table saw. We can get too comfortable with that plastic guard. In both cases, use a push block or holding stick.
